The United Methodist Men of Spring Valley is prayerfully seeking a president to lead. Our mission is to equip the UMM men of Spring Valley to be the spiritual leader of their families. The men of UMCSV strive to further God’s Kingdom by being Christ's followers. We strive to be more intimate with God, foster a passion for the harvest, live a visionary life, be evangelists, grow leadership, support our families, be good and faithful stewards, and to be men of integrity and disciples of Jesus Christ. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
United Methodist Women of Spring Valley 's mission is to embrace women of all ages and seasons of their lives, teaching and empowering them as they grow in their spiritual journey with Christ so that they can become strong women of God for their families and communities.
After Sunday worship service, each class, through the simple act of offering refreshment or a hot cook meal in a variety of settings, our fellowship hour nurtures church hospitality. In addition, there's always special events that include hospitality and fellowship, such as Easter and Christmas receptions, Youth sponsored programs and annual community picnic.
The sharing of food and drink is a fundamental way in which we develop bonds within our church family and extended family. This act comes so automatically that we don’t even stop to think about it. Yet, it is this simple act that allows us an opportunity to share in God’s bounty and share in fellowship that brings us closer together.
We invite you to join us in our work. You will enjoy fellowship hours with one another in God's love. You are invited each week following the Sunday morning service to enjoy food, fellowship and a hearty welcome to Spring Valley UMC with old-timers and newcomers alike. If you would like to share a special dish, you are kindly welcome to drop it off in the kitchen before the service. Whether you bring a dish or not, we welcome you to the Fellowship Hour!
